" TAIPEI, Taiwan July 6, 2004 - A strong earthquake shook buildings in downtown Taipei Tuesday, but no damage or casualties were immediately reported.
The 5.8-magnitude quake hit under the ocean, 31 miles northeast of Su'ao, the Central Weather Bureau said.

Su'ao is a fishing harbor on Taiwan's northeastern coast, about 43 miles southeast of Taipei."

Im so glad the earthquake din affect me. I was at the 衣蝶 shopping mall when there was an announcement, reporting that an earthquake had just taken place. I was kinda stunned at that moment. But everything was alright. Thank God! =)
