Time to update my blog! Its gonna be a very long one.
I found myself a part-time job and had started work last Friday.
If nothing goes wrong, I should be working til Nov or Dec.
Im back at Sun Microsystems, but not dealing with databases now.
My current responsibility involves $ as I am helping to manage the funds of Sun.
I don't actually touch/count $, but I need to raise the Purchase Order (PO) for companies and wait for the managers of Sun to approve.
Not a very difficult job, but it does get confusing & tedious.
There are 2 systems that I have to keep track and my job also requires me to make phone calls (which I really hate). Worse, Im clueless to Finance stuffs. What CTC, TT?? There was once, I was confused by the other party and have to say that I'll call back later. Now I even have my personal login ID & e-mail account. Sounds gd?
No! becoz I need to check my mail & do whatever that is needed. Its scary to see mails flooding in ur mailbox. You can never finish your work becoz there will always be new applications for funding coming in.
For the past week, I did not have proper dinner. Usually I work from 9 to 7+. By the time I reached home, its almost 9. So I will just eat some light snacks, drink milo, stuffs like that. Once I even work from 9 - 9. Zzzz...
Last Friday, on my 1st day of work, I was very lucky. I got the chance to watch The Forbidden City! It was a complimentary ticket for Sun. I was really excited as this was the first time I get to see a play at the Esplanade. So after work, I went with Lindy & a few other colleagues whom I din know. Overall the play is quite good. I must say that Kit Chan's singing is really fab! And oh, the ushers there are quite good-looking too. hee.
I fell down 2 days ago. It was raining heavily the whole day. I took a cab to work that day becoz I couldn't get myself out of my cosy bed. As there was a short distance between the taxi stand and the building, I decided to run across. It was a BIG BIG mistake!! I slipped and fell hard on the ground!! Ouch!~ it was so embarassing. Thank goodness only a few people were around.
I think the whole scenerio was kinda comical. Imagine the nice taxi driver saying "Have a nice day" and the moment you got out of the cab, you actually slipped & fell. What a "nice" day for me. Til now, my right arm is still aching. Maybe I had pull a muscle.
Okie, I think I shall end this entry. Its getting way too long.
Take care ppl.
